25 days to document my life

So the start of a new thing for me is 25 days to document my life sounds soooo simple.. Guess what allot harder than they make it sound right.. Right.
So yesterday as I am very excited to learn more and take better photos what a great idea to give me inspiration but to do a challenge and give me a sense of accomplishment.

I have been carrying my camera with me everywhere just so I don't miss a beat because everything happens to me when I am not ready for it.. and I curse to reach around to the back seat and guess what all I can do is watch in awe as my camera is sitting on a shelf in my house.. Another day bummer :(
So yesterday as I get home from having this awesome idea with my friend Jeannette and ready to pounce while the iron is hot (because we know my life is like a whirl wind I never know when I am going to have time).  So I am all excited and ready to get it done.  I change my uniform and sigh so happy to take off my work boots and put on some sweats and RUN (seriously) to my camera and unlock the bag and all I hear is Mom really.  As bummed as I am everyone scatters (I’m getting a complex now).  Today was to take photos of hands.  I had the greatest idea but everyone ran ...... but the two little ones.. giggles...

Emma.. Danielle.. Can you come here please.. Granted Emma has been sick so hopefully she feels like playing with mom.  So as soon as I tell them what I want them to do they try to run... Ha Ha ha I came with bribing power too.. Man these 25 days is going to be a rough one.

So finally they did do what I asked and thank goodness without injury.  I will post photos later because it took forever for me to get it right.  Practice makes perfect right :D

I was very happy with the results so onto day 2 the Inside of your home.. Crap that means I have to clean because I don't like a dirty Photo
This is in Auto and I rather not looks so fake now that i am taking photos in M
This is what I got in the end I love it both Danielle and Emma were good to me.. Something I will
Remember forever...

This is the first try

Embarking on a new Journey

In a few short days I'll be heading into an unknown world.  I will be leaving a job I've grown to enjoy immensely and start my trek to Spring Mountain for our hike on the Appalachian Trail.  I should bounce back to about 5 years ago when we moved to State College Pennsylvania.  My husband and I moved here with our two youngest children, Danielle and Emma.  We were starting our new lives after retiring from the United States Coast Guard.  I started working at Penn State University.  While I was enjoying our journey thus far, something happened, and I came across a man who was journaling his entire trip on the Appalachian Trail.  I was intrigued to say the least.  I went home with so much excitement and told my husband wouldn't it be AMAZING to take this journey and be free to hike all day and enjoy the wilderness.  Let's just say my husband's comments were not as exciting as mine.  One of his comments were do you know how far that is, and...

Something Old Something New

I am not talking about weddings :D But today is one of those days when I have laughed, I have cried, and I have had many hours of myself which could be good and bad for all those involved in my life. I love to sew and I have been working on a quilt I have wanted to do for so long.  The Pattern is called Autumn Ablaze from Quilting Celebrations www.quiltingcelebrations.com .  Its from the Fall 2012 magazine, this will also tell you how long I have been wanting to do this.  See you all should believe me when I tell you this is a year all about me. So that gives you an Idea of what I have been doing this past week, plus many others more.  I have about 10 projects that I am always working on, I do tend to get bored with just one so when I see something I just jump right in and sew my little heart out.  Maybe one of these days I will actually finish a project without putting it aside for something else... Nah that is to predictable..   I was t...
Quilting from the heart I will say this if you would have told me that 6 months ago I would have fallen in love with quiliting as much as I have, I wouldnt believe you.  This is quilt #8 that I have finished but only #2 that I have been able to post since I have not given them to the recipiants yet. Since I learned all of this on my own by trial and error I also figured I would show you some of the work as I have finished it. This is one panel complete now to finish it up and get it to the quilters.  Because I have not learned how to do that just yet but it is on my list of things to learn. I cant tell you how much I loved this tool that I purchased for myself since no one bought it for me off my Christmas List :D and I will say besides my sewing machine this is used almost as much a Jill lol. And this is the progress of the blocks.  Sometimes I am my own worst enemy since its all about line and linning up.  OH MY WORD sometimes this is the ...
